Restore Farms Internship Program

Our Student Staff

Our student staff is changing the face of food for our community. At RestoreFarms, we believe our students are our biggest change agents. That’s why middle & high school students are employed at the farm where they gain entrepreneurial skills while earning income for themselves & their families. Youth get paid to work after-school & during the summer, helping put an end to our “food desert” by maintaining the gardens, marketing, selling & delivering produce to businesses, chefs & those in need within our community.

While we are hoping to grow a bounty of fresh produce, we are also hoping to grow employment & training opportunities for community youth that result in an opportunity for scholarship for higher-education. Our goal is to empower our youth with experiences in basic job skills, sustainable agriculture & entrepreneurship, while incentivizing graduation & higher-education for long-term community opportunity.

Higher Education

On our Urban Farm, we want to see our students thrive in every aspect of their lives, even after graduation. That’s why we’ve partnered with multiple universities to offer higher-education incentives to our student staff.

If our Restore Farms interns graduate from both high school & our internship program, they can potentially attend school at one of our partner universities with a full ride! Graduates will have opportunities to receive scholarships for high-education opportunities in related fields & earn collegiate level certificates.

Our hope is that they will come back to take our jobs, leading our community further than we’ve ever dreamed. We know it’s possible because they want it more than any of us.
